YAY! Sunshine, family, friends and checkered flags finally!

Heavy Honda Jonathon started in P4 in H4. We struggled with set up and couldn't get the speed we needed and ended in P4. That placed him P6 in the B main. He fought his way up to finish P3, placing him in P9 in the A main. A main was a stacked field and he managed to move up three spots to finish P6. Any race that goes green to checkered makes this team happy! That proves some skills were out there and it was some clean racing! We'll keep diggin'

Heavy World.....well just a few laps in to the race, Jonathon entered into turn 3 and lost a tire. When we got to him, it was far more than a tire, his rear axle snapped! So that placed him P10 in the A main. Jeff and Ryan and the Hansel family worked hard at getting the car put back together for the A main. Mikel Floyd helped put on a bolt! Hee Hee! Something was overlooked and we couldn't keep the chain in. We didn't get to finish and that put him with a P8 finish. Tough luck and again, we'll keep fighting and learn from everything! This is still a new class for us! As we get to different tracks we'll be learning how this car will work!

This brings us to Sunday in the CB51 Design Unrestricted Animal car. During his heat the chain split before the master link and got wedged and wasn't repairable in the pits!  That unfortunately put him in PX (11th) for the A Main. After making some adjustments, we went out and this boy did some work! He quickly got up in the top 5 and was handling this car like he's driven it for years! He's only driven this car once and was only a two car field! So to run this car for the first time in a TWELVE car field and finish SECOND is impressive!!!!!!!!!!!! 

This performance paid off for Jonathon and he was acknowledged as the QuarterMidgets.Com sponsored Hard Charger for Sunday's event. Going from 11th to 2nd. That makes all the bad luck a little better!

A huge thanks to all those that come support Jonathon! 

We'll be staying home this weekend and preparing for MWT R2 in Lansing, MI. Hopefully we will have better results.

  Mid Ohio Race #2/8 Track: Miami Valley April 23, 2023 Another cold, cloudy and dreary day for Mid Ohio Race #2 Heavy Honda Jonathon started in P1 in the heat and led the entire heat with Trevor Jones being on his bumper! The feature put him on the pole and after a double file restart bringing out a caution, a single file restart started the race. Jonathon made a rookie mistake and went below the dot and got penalized. Putting him on the tail of the 3 car field, Once he got settled back in he took the lead and took the checkers!  Heavy World was another three car field. In the heat one of the cars didn't make it out leaving Jonathon and Phillip Clement Jr. Jonathon lead the lace until two laps to go and spun out on his own. North Georgia Super Regional Recap

🏁 North Georgia Super Regional – Cumming, GA - April 2, 2022 🏁 Track : North Georgia Quarter Midget Racing Association 🏁 Miles : 1040 🏁 Hours : 19 hours We traveled south for the first of the national series Super Regional race in Cumming, GA, with over 225 cars in attendance. This year Jonathon is running Senior Animal, which had a total of 19 cars and Light 160 with a total of 24 cars. Jonathon has never raced here and we came not having much information on set up. We were able to do a controlled 2 minute practice on Friday night.  Senior Animal: Jonathon got a P1 in Heat 2 and ended in P3. That placed him P4 in the B main. During the B main he had fallen to the back of the pack at the start. P4 is probably the worst position to start in and he wheeled his way up to a P2 finish. This put him P8 in the A Main. 2023 Buckeye WinterNationals Race #3

Race #3 did not disappoint. After having over a month off from racing we headed back to the infamous Hog Barn at the Ohio Expo Center for race 3 of the 6 race series.  Heavy Honda was on point! Started in P5 in the heat and he worked his way to the front and we had a great race between Keegan Weese and Jaxon Burnett. Jonathon took the checkers; landing him his VERY FIRST POLE position in an A Main (at a large race). That may be not a big deal to some....but this was a big milestone for JCD.  The feature, RJ Deigthon took the lead within the second lap and checked out. Jonathon and Keegan battled for second and third spot for several laps. A caution came out putting Jonathon in second, but three lap cars separated him and the leader. He ended up in a very strong second. Jonathon was honored to drive the Blane Withers Racing Heavy 160 this weekend due to Blane celebrating his StepDad, Cody's 2022 racing season.
