Race #6 - The last one, the final, the end The indoor season has come to a close and we are not sad! :-) We are immensely proud of where we ended the indoor season. We have raced the series since winter of 2018 with the exception of 2020 (Covid). We have never performed well in this series. The track is hard and forever changing each weekend. In fact, we had never achieved a podium finish in the infamous “hog barn”. This year was different, we finally had success!  In Heavy Honda, a new class for Jonathon, he earned three (3) second place, one (1) third place and two (2) fourth place finishes. That landed him second in Heavy Honda for the Buckeye Indoor Winternationals series! Heavy World Formula: This also was a new class for team JCD. BUCKEYE WINTERNATIONALS RACE #5 COLUMBUS, OHIO Heavy Honda – Jonathon got a tough pill draw and started P6 in Heat 2 with a P3 finish. This placed him P6 in the A main. The A main he struggled on being able to get down early on fought his way to P4 finish. This would be the first time he finished outside the podium, so we’ll take an off day! Heavy World Formula – Jonathon is still trying to get comfortable with the car. This is a new class for him and he’s trying to find his groove! He finished 9 th  after having to go to the tail with few laps left. We would like to give a huge shout out to Luke Lemons, Luke Lemons Racing. In Luke’s downtime, while he waits for his outdoor season to begin has taken time to work with Jonathon. His knowledge and support are beyond appreciated. Buckeye Winternationals Race #4 Ohio Expo Center - O'Neill Building  Heavy Honda was again on point! Started in P6 in the heat, working his way to the front a car spun out and rolled back after hitting the wall. Jonathon thought he had clearance but when the driver took foot off the brake it rolled back. A last millisecond decision for a hard left turn narrowly missing the car. I really thought the race would be over for Jonathon and still don't know how he managed to miss the car.  Jonathon finished P2 parking him P2 in the A main.  The A main was a great race.  Jonathon started out strong. On a restart he was spun and was put next to last. One of the most frustrating rules of this sport, you're spun, the other driver gets a strike, but you have to go to the back as well. #dumb  I believe there was 8 laps to go,  Jonathon drove back up to P2.  Heavy World Formula; Started P5 in the heat with a strong finish in P4.
